Musician Bios​​
J. Coursey Willis is a storyteller, musician, and rebel soul from Kent Island, MD. He blends
​dark Americana with grunge to craft raw, haunting songs that explore addiction, heartbreak, and
survival. He describes himself as, “The imagined child of Jim Morrison and Alanis Morissette”
with a voice reminiscent of Eddie Vedder and Layne Staley.
8 Ohms Band is a horn heavy funk band from Annapolis, Maryland. Since 2007, they've been
bringing their unique blend of funk, soul, pop, reggae, and R&B to stages across the DMV and
beyond — sharing the stage with legends including Earth Wind & Fire, P Funk
and Chuck Brown.
Honey Sol is not like other trios, and you might notice why. They all look similar, but since they
are family, that isn’t too surprising. They are a high energy funk, R&B, and rock power band
based in Annapolis that plays originals and tasty covers. Their music sounds like it would take 5
or more people to play, but it’s just the three of them.
Guthrie Matthews Trio (also known as The G Method) can play virtually all styles of popular
music. They have the ability to begin a set with John Mayer or Johnny Cash and end with
Metallica or Ozzy Osbourne that keeps listeners captivated.
Ray Wroten has been performing professionally since 2005 and has played from coast to coast,
Canada, and the US Virgin Islands. He's known for having a soulful voice, writing heartfelt
storytelling lyrics, and a high energy live performance. Wroten is the founding member, lead
singer, and guitarist of Bond & Bentley, a national touring blues/funk/jam band from Baltimore. 
Mama’s Black Sheep is the soulful collaboration of singer-songwriters Ashland Miller
(guitar/vocals) and Laura Cerulli (drums/vocals). For over 15 years, this dynamic duo has been
blending genres and crafting unforgettable songs, creating a blend of hit-worthy originals and
covers with a unique spin. Their music swings from Country to Rock, grooves through Soul, and
sways to the Blues.
Trinity Blues Band plays electric blues music with a rock edge.  Their set lists include some old
and newer blues songs that they put their own stamp on with vocals, harmonica, dueling guitars,
bass, and drums.
Jeff Washington's skills as a guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter, and performer have been honed
through many years.  Jeff is skilled in all styles of modern music, performing a diverse array of
funk, blues, jazz, rock, and rhythm and blues.
Heather Efland, our children’s performer and Church Hill Elementary music teacher, will bring
dancing, singalongs, games, and instruments for all ages.
Sweet Leda is a funky foursome bringing a sexy rock-n-soul style that will surely have you
dancing on the lawn and in the streets. They will enchant you with original tunes as well as some
fantastic covers. Don’t miss out on this band!​
