Open Judged Show ~ "SUMMER!"June 6 - July 25, 2014
Queen Anne's County Arts Council opened their inaugural open judged show: "Summer!" on June 6th after calling upon artists to show their best Paintings, Prints, Drawings and small 3D art. This show’s theme of “SUMMER!” was chosen to allow the artists to let their creativity take them in almost any direction. Winners were announced at the Artists Reception on June 6th: 1st Place: Stephanie Nadolski; 2nd Place: Jonathan Shaw; 3rd Place: Amy Cummins; Honorable Mention: Ric Conn, Barbara Snyder and Stephen Bleinberger. Cash prizes, sponsored by Thomas Scuderi, Rebecca Brown, Jim and MaryBeth Moran were awarded as follows: $500 first, $300 second, and $200 third place. The judge for the show was Nancy Tankersly, accomplished plein air artist and founder of the South Street Gallery in Easton. The show wrapped up on July 25th; Congratulations to Ann Crane Harlan as the winner of the "People's Choice" award. |
